  1. For and against essays - "The internet as a reliable source of news and information"

It is well known that the Internet is one of the most powerful tools and it is
everywhere: in the jobs, in the schools, for working or simply for hobby. But is this
powerful tool a reliable source? let's analyse pros and cons of its use:

On the one hand the Internet has been a big progress in the world of
information. It gives us the chance to read news from anywhere in the world, something
that was impossible in the past. Also you can find any kind of information, as if it was a
big library or a big video and music shop The main purpose of the Internet is to share
the knowledge of the humankind. You can not only use it as a source of Information,
on the Internet you can find also forums where you can chat with another people
to share and discuss ideas about a theme.

On the other hand the Internet has grown very fast in the last years and it is
impossible to verify all the information. You can find many websites, like Wikipedia or
some others like this, where you can find a lot of information for free. But the problem
is that all this information is not always verified, so you can find a lot of mistakes on it,
even hoaxes. The Internet is open to everybody to share knowledge but the
accuracy of the information is not always as it has to be.

In conclusion, the Internet is a young tool, it is a big step for the development of the world of the information. It gives people the chance to share information and
knowledge but it is necessary to consult different websites, different sources to
verify if the information is real or not.

  2. "Credits cards can be a blessing and a curse"

Not enough cash? Just pull out the plastic card, charge it and pay the bill later...buy now, pay later...what a great deal! Credit cards allow you to get the things or services you want when you need (or want) them. Using credit cards wisely/sensibly can be a blessing, but when they're used recklessly, they can be a curse.
One of the main advantages of having a credit card is the fact that you don't need to have the quantity of money you have to pay at the moment of the purchase, so you don`t need to have a large sum of money in your bank account. This can give you a great sense of freedom and allows you to pay whatever you want. Another advantage is the easiness of its usage, you only need to go with your credit card in the wallet and to know your pin number, in addition to this I must say that having access to emergency money could save your life (or make it easier). When you travel to a foreign country and you want to rent a car you need to have a credit card.
However, there are disadvantages because if you aren't responsible enough it's really difficult to control the money you spend...and there are penalties and in some cases fees. for late payment that are applied to late or missed payments, so overspending could cause you to be in debt. Credit cards are a kind of loan, you borrow some money for a period a time and you pay an interest for the privilege of borrowing that money, so credit cards are a luxury.
Furthermore security problems, for example when buying on the internet, could be another disadvantage and not to mention losing or having stolen your credit card.
All things considered, it seems to me that having a credit card could make life easier in some ways but yoy have to understand taht you're borrowing money, so never borrow more than you van pay off, if not you could get into financial trouble.
